Daytona State Athletics Volleyball Program Leads the Way in Team Climate Innovation with AIMS Insights’ MIMIR

Daytona Beach, Florida, July 2026: AIMS Insights is proud to announce the launch of the MIMIR platform within the Daytona State College Women's Volleyball program, further expanding MIMIR’s presence across elite collegiate sport in the United States.

The partnership will see Head Coach Laura Booker Anderson and the Daytona State College Women's Volleyball program integrate MIMIR into their athlete environment to gain deeper insight into team climate, team dynamics, athlete feedback through Every Voice, and athlete wellness throughout the season.

Daytona State College has built a strong reputation for developing high-performing student-athletes and creating a culture focused on excellence both on and off the court. By integrating MIMIR into its volleyball program, Daytona State is positioning itself at the forefront of a new approach within NJCAA volleyball, recognising that understanding team climate, team dynamics and the athlete experience can provide a meaningful competitive advantage.

The adoption of MIMIR reflects the program’s continued commitment to innovation and its ambition to understand, measure and optimise the environment that supports athlete and team performance.

Developed by AIMS Insights, MIMIR is designed to give coaches a deeper understanding of what is happening inside their teams through high-frequency, low-burden psychological data collection. The platform helps coaches understand the environment they create, how athletes experience that environment, and the factors that influence communication, trust, leadership and performance.

Through continuous insight into team climate, MIMIR enables coaches to understand the collective experience of their athletes, identifying trends, strengths and opportunities within the team environment. This provides a deeper understanding of the culture being created and how that culture evolves throughout the season.

MIMIR also provides insight into team dynamics, helping coaches better understand relationships, communication patterns and the interactions that shape high-performing environments. By understanding how individuals contribute to the wider team, coaches can make more informed decisions around leadership, player development and team building.

Alongside this, Every Voice transforms anonymous athlete feedback with AI into meaningful coaching insight by interpreting every response through each athlete’s evolving digital psychological profile and personality. This provides a far more grounded understanding of what athletes are really experiencing, enabling coaches to identify emerging themes, understand the factors influencing feedback, and make more informed decisions before issues impact team performance.

The platform also supports the ongoing monitoring of athlete wellness, providing coaches with a more complete understanding of the individual athlete experience alongside the wider team environment.

The implementation at Daytona State reflects a growing recognition across collegiate sport that understanding how athletes think, feel and experience their environment can provide a significant competitive advantage. While technical, tactical and physical preparation remain fundamental, leading programs are increasingly recognising that culture, communication and psychological environment play a critical role in sustained success.

Laura Booker Anderson, Head Coach of the Daytona State College Women's Volleyball program, said:

"The best teams are built on more than talent and preparation. The environment we create, the relationships within the team and how our athletes experience that environment all have a significant impact on performance. MIMIR gives us an opportunity to better understand our team in a way we have not had access to before. Having insight into our team climate, dynamics and athlete experience throughout the season will allow us to be more proactive, communicate better and continue building a high-performing culture."

Dr Steve Smith, Research Lead, said:

"We are delighted to welcome Daytona State College Women's Volleyball to the growing MIMIR community. Laura and her staff understand that the future of high performance is not just about measuring what athletes do, but understanding the environment that enables them to perform."

"Daytona State’s willingness to embrace team climate innovation demonstrates the direction collegiate sport is moving. The strongest programs will be those that combine technical expertise with a deeper understanding of their people, their culture and the environment they create. MIMIR has been designed to provide coaches with deeper insight into team climate, team dynamics, athlete feedback and wellness. By combining behavioural science, psychological profiling and AI-powered analysis, we are helping coaches make better-informed decisions and create stronger, more connected teams."

The rollout is expected to support the Daytona State College Women's Volleyball program across team culture, leadership, communication, athlete wellness and performance throughout the upcoming competitive cycle.

As MIMIR continues to expand across collegiate and professional sport, partnerships such as Daytona State College demonstrate the growing importance of psychological intelligence and team environment measurement within modern high-performance coaching.

Through its adoption of MIMIR, Daytona State Women's Volleyball is helping lead the evolution of how collegiate volleyball programs understand, measure and develop the environments that drive performance.
